“Photography, for me, is the ability to see the extraordinary within the everyday – to capture moments of reality most people pass by without noticing, to transform ordinary scenes into resonant art, and to preserve personal stories that become memories. The camera in my hands is a tool for deep observation, connection and an appreciation of the world’s beauty.”
Storytelling Through the Lens
Throughout her career, photographer Michal Sela has developed a distinctive visual language that transcends styles and perspectives. Her work – characterized by natural curiosity, an eye for seeing the good, an open heart, and powerful storytelling has been featured in numerous exhibitions, including a solo show at Binyanei Hauma in Jerusalem.
After earning degrees in Economics and Business Administration, the self-taught Sela followed her passion, gradually building her expertise as a photographer who brings an added dimension of depth to her work.
She approaches every shoot with the intention of leaving a personal imprint. Through an original perspective and narrative, she conveys meaningful, thought-provoking messages that evoke memories, touch the heart, and inspire action.
When photographing, she seamlessly adapts to each situation and subject. Her presence is almost invisible, yet she’s everywhere – documenting with sensitivity and a unique eye.
Sela views photography as an invitation into a fleeting moment of life. Whether capturing people, nature or objects, she seeks to illuminate their essence, reveal their humanity, and express it through her lens.
Her clients include corporations, public institutions, leading brands, and private collectors of fine art photography. Her aspiration is to exhibit in galleries worldwide, participate in international shows, spark curiosity among art collectors, and continue creating visual stories that resonate deeply and enduringly.
“To take a photograph is to align the head, the eye and the heart. It's a way of life.”
