Solo & Group Exhibitions
Each exhibition is a point of connection for me, an opportunity to tell a story and present moments that, without an attentive eye, would pass by unnoticed. The photographs I’ve chosen to exhibit reflect a worldview of optimism, a choice to see the good, full presence in the moment, and an appreciation for time’s fleeting nature.
My aspiration is that my work leaves an imprint on the viewer’s heart, sparks inspiration, and opens a window to see the world around us anew.
"Seeing the Beauty Within" | Solo Exhibition (2025)
Binyanei Hauma, Jerusalem
Curated by Eran Litwin
The exhibition “Seeing the Beauty Within” explores the ability to pause, observe, and appreciate the beauty freely available around us – in nature, people, and objects.
Angles, colors, water, and light become tools for visual storytelling. A nature scene, someone sipping coffee on a balcony, a child gazing from a ship’s window – these are among sixteen works capturing everyday moments with sensitivity and photographic mastery. Sela chooses to photograph the good, the innocent – concepts quietly fading from our lives. Her images ask us to pause and express gratitude for the remarkable world surrounding us.

Colors of Silence | Group Exhibition (2015)
“The Green House” Gallery, Tel Aviv
Curated by Avner Avraham
A good photograph, as Irving Penn said, is one that communicates reality, touches the heart, and leaves the viewer slightly changed for having seen it.
The exhibition “Colors of Silence”, presented at “The Green House” Gallery in Tel Aviv as a tribute to Simon and Garfunkel and their poetry, featured exclusive works combining art, sound, brush, and lens.
As part of this group exhibition, Michal Sela presented a work created especially for the event: a photograph generating a multi-sensory experience inspired by the iconic song Mrs. Robinson.
Small-Big Moments | Solo Exhibition (2016)
The Gallery – City Hall, Ra’anana
Curated by Orna Fichman
From surprising and exciting angles, with sensitivity and plenty of humor, Michal Sela documented children in small-big moments, completely immersed in play. A colorful and enchanting collection of toys: battery-operated and remote-controlled ones, vintage and modern, and those that starred in beloved animated films cherished by children and adults alike.
Etched in Time | Solo Exhibition (2026)
The Gallery – City Hall, Ra’anana
Curated by Orna Fichman
To celebrate Ra’anana’s 94th anniversary, Michal Sela documented places, sites, landscapes, and spontaneous, surprising moments throughout the city. The small, everyday moments captured through her lens, painted from surprising and unique angles, created a rich visual narrative illuminating city life. This documentation was presented in a special exhibition at City Hall Gallery titled “94 Years of Ra’anana Through Michal Sela’s Lens”, inviting viewers to rediscover simple daily moments and immerse themselves in their hidden beauty.
